created for him

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

- Colossians 1:16-17

His Kingdom, Now.

The gospel is ultimately about humanity being restored to God’s community. Only through practicing community will individuals grow fully in the grace and knowledge to be found in Jesus. Furthermore, it is through community that a fragmented world can best witness the power of the gospel and the nature of God’s work. As a culture of confession, transformation, friendship, forgiveness, justice, power, and love springs up in the lives of normal people, those who don’t know Christ will be compelled to ask what is happening.

Our Mission

We engage through outreach, restoration, and renewal.

Our vision is to be a gospel-centered church that makes disciples of Jesus who love and serve God and others. This moves us to share our lives with one another in smaller communities, to worship together as one family and to be faithful to Jesus by maintaining a redemptive posture in the culture he has called us to.

This means New Hope is not merely a service, or a one-stop Sunday shop, but a counter-cultural, missionary community that seeks the glory of God and the good of our neighbors in every sphere of life through the declaration and demonstration of the gospel.

Our Community

Community (or "Missional") Groups are an essential part of our church, as they provide a place where deeper fellowship and better support for one another can take place. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings - in the synagogues - as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one another. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This "each other" is called His Church.

OUR MISSION

The mission of New Hope Church of the Nazarene is to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked. If God’s mission is to be glorified through the redemption and reconciliation of a people, the Church’s mission must orient around the glory of God and seek to glorify Him through redemption and reconciliation.
